The SBT3002 is a patented, high voltage DC over voltage protector. After an AC power source and bridge rectifier, the SBT3002 connects and monitors the Cbus (capacitor) DC voltage. If the capacitor voltage is too high, the SBT3002 disconnects the high voltage capacitor and Load, from the DC power source. The connection of the Cbus (capacitor) is synchronized with the zero crossing of the AC line, minimizing the turn-on inrush current. The operation of the SBT3002 prevents capacitors and loads from being damaged by line overvoltage, and minimizes turn-on inrush current.
